On Wednesday Thursday we had a production called Oliver with a twist. We had two shows on both days the daytime show is called a matinee and the nighttime show are called a evening show. We were practicing for two or more weeks. My class did a dance and it was really good. The actors were amazing especially Bruce he was the main actor which is Oliver.

My favorite actor was Oliver (Bruce) because he did very good and memoized all his lines very well.

Has your school had a production before?

This week we had a lady from St John that came and visited our school to teach us about first aid and what to do if someone gets hurt for when we go to camp in Hanmer Springs. We had to do CPR on a fake dummy and we had to learn how to wrap a bandage around a arm and head. We learned what to do when someone goes unconsciousness and ect.

Have you ever had St John come to your school?

Hello for two weeks I went to Rarotonga with my family. For the first week it was raining but still hot and the next week was very hot. We stayed in a house on the beach and it had our own private pool. We went snorkeling and I saw lots of cool fish I also saw a puffer fish and three turtles. The water in the ocean was very warm. Me and my brother had a water fight around the pool.

Have you ever been to a island?

When I grow up I want to be a Marine Biologist. I want to be a Marine Biologist because I love the ocean and always have. I like learning about all the sea creatures and Marine life.

I think Marine Biologist would be fun because you travel to lots of islands, stay in beach bungalows, test the coral and the Marine creatures. Marine Biologyś get paid good amount of money.

My favorite Marine creature is a Sea Turtle and a Spinner dolphin.

A Marine Biologist explores the ocean, studies sea creatures like dolphins and turtles, and helps protect the underwater world and its job is to study ocean animals, learn how they live, and find ways to keep the ocean clean and healthy.

What do you want to be when you are older?

Last week on Thursday I went to Canterbury’s Swimming with Tayla, Elsie, Ryby, Miriam, Josh, Jack, Hunter. The swimming was at Selwyn Aquatic Centre. There was lots of schools there, we were in the North zone with St Joseph’s and some more schools. The year 7 & 8 went in the morning and year 5 & 6 went in the afternoon. In year 5 we had Eliot and none in year 6. My swimming heat was breaststroke my time was 52.5 seconds. I was feeling quite nervous before my race but once I did my race all my nerves were gone.

Over the week we had to create a Adaptive sport I was in a group with Mila, Tayla. Our adaptive sport was Silent Netball. Have you ever made a Adaptive sport?

This week we made a Advent calendar we had the option to do it digitally or on paper. Advent is a time in Liturgical year that is the 24 days before Christmas. I learn’t that on the wreath there is 1 pink and 3 purple candles. Our calendar has 1 act of kindness each day that we have to complete.

Over the last 2 weeks we have been learning about Mary and saints.

We had to make a fact file on Mary first we added her Name, birth date, place of birth, family members and feast day.

I learnt that Mary’s full name is Maryam.

One thing I found interesting was the rosary are a way to meditate on the life’s of Jesus and Mary.
